The 20 players and technical staff, including head coach Paul Hall, left for Lima, Peru, where the international friendly against the hosts is scheduled for Thursday.

For the past four days, the team has been training at the UWI-JFF Captain Horace Burrell Center of Excellence under new head coach Paul Hall.

Kaheem Parris is unavailable and has been replaced by Maliek Howell.

Thursday’s game is the only warm-up match Hall will have ahead of the next World Cup qualifying window, which takes place next week, starting with a game against Mexico at the National Stadium on Jan. 27. They will next face Panama away on January 30. before returning home to face Costa Rica on February 2.

Hall, a member of Jamaica’s victorious 1998 World Cup final team, succeeded former teammate Theodore Whitmore. The replacement follows Whitmore’s sacking towards the end of last year after the JFF technical committee reported he had lost faith in the France 1998 World Cup hero.
