Lima, Peru – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – In order to position Peru as a multicultural and megadiverse country with ancestral knowledge projected into the future, the Commission for the Promotion of Export and Tourism – PROMPERÃ convened the MEPs and SMEs of the industry of the export and tourism belonging to the 25 regions of Peru be part of the Peruvian trade pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The objective is to promote the culture of the country, its biodiversity and, thus, generate business opportunities for the economic reactivation of export, tourism and investment zones.
The Peruvian presence will be reinforced by trade days dedicated to our different regions such as Expo PerÃº Los Andes (Los Andes Peru Expo), ExpoamazÃ³nica (Amazonian Expo), Expo PerÃº Norte (North Peru Expo), and Sur Exporta (South Exports) which promote the export and tourism potential, as well as the cultural, tourist, historical and culinary wealth of all regions of the country. Of the 200 Peruvian companies expected, more than eighty percent will be MSEs and SMEs.
Peru’s participation will be aligned with the three pillars of Expo 2020 Dubai: âOpportunityâ, âSustainabilityâ and âMobilityâ. The commercial aspect will be linked to the protection of the environment and biodiversity, as well as the preservation of culture, issues of the utmost importance for Peru and the world.
The official delegation and regional governments will submit portfolios of investment projects to potential investors. The regional supply of goods and services and the portfolios of tourism projects will be essential to open up new markets in the Middle East and stimulate Peru’s internationalization process.
In each of the events dedicated to the regions, we will have the participation and exhibition of exportable products, the exhibition of the routes and tourist attractions of the regions, as well as business meetings with potential buyers. In addition, cultural activities, dance and music from each of the regions will be presented by the regional governments.
It is worth highlighting the coordination work carried out between PROMPERÃ, the regional communities of Los Andes and the Macro Northeast Region of Peru, the southern regions, as well as the Interregional Council of the Amazon (Consejo Interregional AmazÃ³nico, CIAM), in order to prioritize the participation of MEPs from all over the country.
