Cusco Weather
A product of its location in Peru, Cusco feels the effects of the macro-climate created by great masses of air coming from different directions. The masses of air coming from the southern forest of Peru bring humid weather while the air masses coming from the Peruvian highlands tend to be colder and dryer, bringing a cooler front to the city. These winds coming from both the southeast and the east are balanced by the winds blowing in through the valleys and plains, which distribute patches of warm air and humidity. Consequently, the night time and early morning tends to be colder, while the day time rises up to an average of 22-25 degrees Celsius. Cusco also suffers from a divided period of seasons; the wet season from November to March with daily rainfall and the dry period which lasts from April to October.
